Have you actually asked any of these people to move their bags so you can sit? I’m sure most of them would do so with no protest. Taking pictures and posting them on the internet is so much more noble!

The answer is yes, I’ve both asked people to move their stuff MANY times and I constantly witness others asking people. For the most part, they’ll begrudgingly move their things as if they’re doing you a favor (which they’re not). Go ahead and ask someone to move their things. You’ll see what happens.
I’m not doing this to be noble. I’m doing it to show what I see every day and how let down I am by the human race.
Have you ever taken the subway, asshole? Most people will NOT move their bags, or will do so BEGRUDGINGLY and make you uncomfortable the entire remainder of the train ride. Get our from behind your Dell and give it a shot.
